Optimum Media Solutions (OMS) has won the media duties of the Rs 630-crore direct selling company, Amway India.
Confirming the development Kajal Thakur, regional director, OMS, Delhi, says, "We have won the entire media business of Amway India that includes both media planning and media buying." While the size of the business could not be ascertained, Thakur says it is substantial as Amway India plans to get aggressive with new product launches.
Besides OMS, the other agency in the fray was The Media Edge (TME). For the record, the creative agency of Amway is Rediffusion DY&R.
Amway India is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amway Corporation, USA. Established in 1995, Amway India started commercial operations in 1998.
