Dabur to decide on Vatika business by August

As per industry estimates, the size of the business is worth Rs 11 crore

Six agencies are in the race for Dabur India’s Vatika shampoo and hair oil account. The list includes O&M, Mudra, Bates, Lowe, Percept and JWT.

Dabur India had called for a pitch about a month back.

As per industry estimates, the size of the business is worth Rs 11 crore. Company official of Dabur says, “The final decision on the pitch will be taken very soon.”

Presently, Dabur's shampoo business is handled by O&M, while Mudra and Bates handle the hair oil and skin care portfolios, respectively.

Dabur India is the fourth largest FMCG in India with interests in healthcare, personal care and food products. Vatika Hair Oil was the first product launched in 1995 under the Vatika brand.

Dabur’s range of shampoos include Anmol Silky Black, Vatika Henna Conditioning, Vatika Anti-Dandruff and Anmol Natural Shine. As per industry estimates, Dabur Vatika hair oil brands have seen the highest growth in the recent past. © 2005 agencyfaqs!
