R Rajmohan, group
account director, Contract, Chennai, has joined Mudra, Chennai, as director, brand communications. He will report to Milind Jadhav, brand head, Mudra, Chennai.
Confirming this development to agencyfaqs!, S Radhakrishnan, executive vice-president and head, Mudra South, says, "We wanted an experienced hand for the Henko account in the Chennai branch. Rajmohan's profile matched the requirements. His fundamental responsibility will be to deliver superior creative work on the Henko brand."
Rajmohan, a visual communications graduate, started his career with Rubecon Communications, Chennai, in 1997. After spending a few years at the agency, he moved to Rediffusion DY&R and worked at the agency for one and a half years. He spent the next three years at Lintas, after which he moved to Muscat to join the Oman Trading Establishment as brand manager in 2002. He decided to come back to India in 2004 and joined Orchard Communications for a very short period before moving to Contract, Chennai.
Talking about the challenges that await him, Rajmohan says, "In an intensely competitive category such as detergents, where only a few benefits are highlighted, such as whiteness, stain removal, water saving, most detergent commercials end up looking the same. So, the challenge will be to create a refreshingly different commercial for Henko and help the brand break the clutter."
