All India Promo Awards 2006: Solution Integrated Marketing, Kidstuff score metals

All India Promo Awards (AIPA) provides recognition to outstanding marketing promotion campaigns by Indian companies, across 10 categories

At the All India Promo Awards (AIPA) 2006, a part of the Promo Power International Conference on promotional marketing techniques, several Indian companies walked away with metals and accolades, including Solutions Integrated Marketing, 141 Worldwide and Kidstuff Promos and Events. For the record, AIPA provides recognition to outstanding marketing promotion campaigns by Indian companies.

Under the category Best Promotion, the silver medal went to Motorola India for its campaign, ‘Motostar’, whereas the bronze was shared by Kidstuff Promos & Events and Pepsico India Holdings (Fritolay division) for ‘Ponds Googly Woogly Woosh’ and ‘Kurkure Mast Family Jackpot’, respectively. A special award was given to CNBC TV18 for ‘Kathakali Citizen Journalist’.

The Wackiest Promotion gold was given to Kidstuff Promos & Events for ‘Not An Uncle’ whereas the bronze went to Jagran Solution for ‘Simran Ki Khoj – 2’.

Under the Best Event category, two silver medals were awarded to SS Edutainment and

141 Worldwide, for ‘Horlicks Wizkids’ and ‘Nokia -Defend Your Turf’, respectively. The bronze went to Solution Integrated Marketing for ‘HP Hats off Event’.

The Best Product Launch category saw JWT as the gold winner for ‘7 UP Curvy’ while Jagran Solution scored a bronze for ‘Aaoo Thodey Khamoshi’.

The Best Direct Mail Effort category saw UCP Integrated Marketing Solutions win the silver for its program for Zyoptix titled ‘Patient Get Patient’. The bronze metal in this category was awarded jointly to Solution Integrated Marketing and Prudential ICICI for ‘CISCO Pizza Mailers’ and ‘Child Care Plan Birthday Activity’, respectively.

In addition, the Best Trade Promotion category saw 141 Worldwide as the sole winner; the agency got a bronze for ‘Tata AIG Life’. In the Best Sampling Program category, the silver went to GSK for ‘Chocolate Horlicks’, with Solution Integrated Marketing bagging a bronze for ‘Hp Print Guru’.

The Best Cause or Charity Marketing Campaign category saw Midas Direct winning a gold for ‘Kaun Banega Shaam Sitara’. For the Best use of Merchandising/In-store Marketing, Retailscape Management Services won a bronze for its work on HLL.

Finally, the Best Product Premium category saw Edurite Technology as the bronze winner for ‘Rin Safedi Ke Shahenshah’.

AIPA was chaired by Vipul Prakash, executive vice-president marketing, Pepsi Cola and judged by a select panel of marketers and agency representatives including Lloyd Mathias of Motorola, Srikant Sastri of Solutions Integrated Marketing Services, Nandan Srinath of Radio Mirchi, Sreekant Khandekar of agencyfaqs!, and Sachin Bhatia of makemytrip.com.

For the record, AIPA will go global this year, and the winners of the AIPA 2006 will represent India in the Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia (PMAA), Singapore 2007 and the APMA ‘Globes’ Worldwide Award Programme, Miami (USA).
