BCCL's Abhijit Pradhan to head sales and marketing at Mid-Day

in December last year that Abhijit Pradhan, head, national response for magazines at Bennett Coleman and Company, put in his papers. He has now joined Mid-Day as the head of sales and marketing.

Pradhan describes his new role at Mid-Day as "re-looking" at marketing. "The focus will be on building a brand new team and generating new marketing efforts", Pradhan says. This development stems from the huge expansion plans Mid-Day has charted out. The tabloid is believed to be eyeing Pune after re-acquiring Delhi Mid-Day.

At BCCL, Pradhan has been looking after Worldwide Media for the last two years. Pradhan's experience in sales and advertising in the industry spans 14 years. He has spent almost seven years in Contract advertising, where he was in the planning arena.

Apart from these, he has also worked with companies such as ABCL, Foster's and Sony Music.

Mid-Day, after launching in Bangalore last year, has recently re-acquired Delhi Mid-Day from Special Protection Services Ltd, as part of its expansion strategy.
