Renuka Jaypal to be chairperson, Ogilvy, Indonesia

Ogilvy & Mather recently announced the appointment of Renuka Jaypal as chairperson of Ogilvy, Indonesia. The appointment will come into effect from mid-June 2007.

Jaypal began her second stint with Ogilvy in 1999 to service the Parle, Asahi and the then MaxTouch account. She was designated national business director for telecom in 2002. She propelled the Hutch brand by heading the pan-India 360 team for the launch of the telecom major.

She was responsible in helping the brand grow and become a flagship business for Ogilvy, India. It has won the agency many accolades such as Campaign of the Year and Client of the Year.

In 2004, Jaypal was conferred additional responsibilities and designated president, OgilvyOne, India. It is learnt that OgilvyOne has since then expanded and consolidated its services.

On her new role, Piyush Pandey, executive chairman and national creative director, Ogilvy & Mather, says, "She deserves this new role. It exemplifies India's ability to export expertise into other regions."
