BBCWST appoints Madison Media Plus to promote its HIV Campaign

The creatives for the HIV campaign will be conceived internally by the BBC World Service Trust. The first TVC is slated to go on air in May


Following & #BANNER1 & # a multi-agency pitch, Madison Media Plus has bagged the media planning and buying duties for BBC World Service Trust's (BBCWST) HIV Campaign. The BBC World Service Trust is the charitable arm of the BBC. It aims to reduce poverty and promote human rights by inspiring people to build better lives.

The creatives for the HIV campaign will be conceived internally by BBCWST. Recently, Radha Rani Mitra, executive creative director, Bates David Enterprise, had joined BBCWST as the creative director. She will be instrumental in ideating the campaign which will aim to prevent the transmission of HIV by promoting condoms in four HIV prevalent states including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Yvonne MacPherson, project director, BBCWST, says, "With respect to media planning, Madison's approach was very convincing and imaginative and catered especially to our needs. In our efforts to achieve social change, we see a substantial partner in Madison Media. "

The BBCWST HIV Campaign is a year long project and will run till June 2008. The campaign will include media mix such as television, print and outdoor advertising, radio ads and other promotions. The first TVC is slated to go on air in May this year.

The account will be serviced by Madison Media Plus, Delhi, under the leadership of Basabdatta Chowdhuri, chief operating officer, Madison Media Plus.
