PayPod to launch Digital Ad Network

The advertising solutions company will launch an online ad network in three weeks. It hopes to have more than 300 online publishers on board, besides the top 10 portals

PayPod, the advertising technology company based in the US, will launch its proprietary Digital Ad Network in India in three weeks. For the past week, the company has been beta-testing the network with publisher Webdunia and agency Radico. The Digital Ad Network developed by PayPod will automatically deliver advertisers the best advertising options on various websites, depending on their target audience.

Speaking about the solution, Durga Das, co-founder, COO and vice-president, business development, said, “We want the network to be an online marketplace for digital advertising. The network will place both online and mobile ads.” The ads on the network will consist of rich-media online ads, including video and WAP (wireless application protocol) ads for mobile.

Das adds that post the launch, PayPod hopes to have more than 300 online publishers on board, besides the top 10 portals. The company is in talks with publishers such as Reliance and mobile developers such as Mobile2win and Bugzy.

The two solutions offered by the network to advertisers are PayPod CPM (cost per thousand) for advertising on premium websites, and PayPod CPC/CPL (cost per click/cost per lead) for direct marketers and publishers with large budgets.

PayPod was incorporated in California, USA, in June 2005 by Sashi Chimala and Durga Das. It entered India in September that year with a development facility in Chennai.
