NDTV Labs appoints Saurabh Malhotra as COO

NDTV has appointed Saurabh Malhotra to head new business areas as the COO of NDTV Labs Ltd, the software and technology company.

Malhotra will be responsible for the success of the company and will steer new business initiatives comprising infrastructure outsourcing, systems integration in the broadcast space, software/technology development and retail television markets, all of which will be run as separate business verticals. He will report to the CEO of NDTV Labs Ltd. and to the board of directors of NDTV Labs Ltd.

Malhotra has 18 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management, and also in setting up new businesses in the IT and OA environments.

Malhotra previously worked with Barco Electronic Systems as director, sales and marketing. For 10 years, in that capacity, Malhotra was responsible for developing and maturing their business units in India.

Prior to working at Barco, Malhotra held various positions with HCL Ltd, Network Ltd and DCM Data Products Ltd.

Malhotra holds a graduate degree from Kolkata University and an MBA in international business from the International Management Institute, New Delhi, in association with McGill University, Montreal, IMD, Lausanne, and University of Rhode Island, Kingston.
