Lakme skincare goes to Ogilvy

Lakme’s skincare business is heading towards Ogilvy Mumbai. The agency has handled the account earlier, too

Almost a year after the dust settled on Lakme’s decision to move a section of its business to Lowe from Ambience Publicis, its partner of a decade, here’s another surprise. Lakme has decided to move its skincare business to Ogilvy Mumbai. Lakme Hairnext moved to Lowe in January 2006.

According to spokesperson for Hindustan Unilever Ltd, "We have appointed Ogilvy as the new agency for Lakme Skin Care. Ambience continues to be the agency for the Lakme Color Cosmetics business." According to sources, Ogilvy has handled the Lakme skincare business earlier, too.
