vJive Networks joins hands with The NewsMarket

The NewsMarket provides online content in the form of news videos to 13,000 media outlets and news organisations in 193 countries. Under this partnership, it will supply vJive Networks with access to thousands of video clips in India

vJive Networks has joined hands with The NewsMarket, a provider of online content in the form of news videos. The NewsMarket connects content providers with around 13,000 media outlets and news organisations in 193 countries. The company is headquartered in New York and has offices in Beijing, Delhi, Mumbai, London, San Francisco, Munich, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Under the partnership, The NewsMarket will supply vJive Networks with access to thousands of video clips. vJive Networks will edit and broadcast the content on its video screens across India, including at Subhiksha, one of the country’s largest retail chains, the more than 350 franchise outlets of The Mobile Store, and Gold’s Gym.

vJive was launched in 2006 with 2,000 screens. In 2007-08, the company will install around 10,000 screens in 16 cities. vJive expects to reach a figure of 40,000 screens in 2008-09 and finally a lakh screens throughout the country by 2009-10.

The NewsMarket has also launched an Indian version of its website. The website carries content related to business and finance, travel and tourism, investment opportunities and other matters of consumer interest across India.
