Verma, business head, Rediffusion DY&R Mumbai, moved last week to Percept H as senior vice-president and branch head.
Verma has 15 years' experience in advertising. His first brush with the industry was in May 1992, when he worked at O&M as a summer trainee for three months, while he was completing his Master's in management studies (1991-93) from the University of Mumbai. In 1993, he joined Draft-FCB-Ulka as a management trainee. He stayed with the agency for six years, stepping down as group manager in September 1999.
In October 1999, Verma began his first stint with Rediff, joining there as account director. In August 2004, he resigned as general manager to join Contract Advertising Mumbai as vice-president. After a year there, in 2005, he moved to Rediffusion for the second time; he joined as vice-president and has now stepped out after three years as business head.
During his career, Verma has worked on businesses such as Rediff.com, HSBC, Cadbury, Tata Motors, Franklin Templeton, Tata Sky, Amul, Godrej, CEAT and HPCL.
Verma says, "I have observed Percept H, from the outside, as an agency gaining momentum. My job really will be to fuel this momentum."
