Rabe Iyer to head Big FM's allied businesses

He will look after SBUs such as Big Reach, Big Live, Big Digital, Big Events and the new entrant, Big Rural

India's No. 1 FM network, Big 92.7 FM, has re-designated Rabe T Iyer as business head for its allied businesses. Iyer, who was most recently head, Big Street, the out of home division of the company, will report to Tarun Katial, chief operating officer.

Iyer will look at the strategic business units (SBUs) such as Big Reach, Big Live, Big Digital, Big Events and the new entrant, Big Rural.

Iyer has about 15 years of experience in media, advertising and communication. He began his career in the selling space before taking up media planning at Enterprise. Later, he moved to Saatchi & Saatchi, where he worked with the Procter & Gamble Hair Care team that launched Head & Shoulders.

In 2003, he was managing the P&G Vietnam account. Within a short span of two years, he grew to the position of country head, ZenithOptimedia Vietnam, Starcom MediaVest Vietnam, and was also made a representative of Publicis Groupe Media, Vietnam.

During his stint as country head, Publicis Groupe Media Vietnam, the group grew to be the top media house and his team, working closely with the P&G marcom team, also brought home P&G's Global award for Best Case Study for Insights for brand Rejoice.
