Mediaedge:cia (MEC), one of the media agencies under the WPP umbrella, has roped in Rashna Pochkhanawala as national director, MEC Interaction. Earlier, she was general manager, digital, Hungama Digital Media. In her new role, she will report to T Gangadhar, managing director, MEC India and Ben Poole, head, Media Interaction, APAC.

With 13 years of experience, Pochkhanawala began her career with Lintas in a marketing role with the division, Market Links. After spending one year there, she joined IT Nation and continued there for about a decade and a half. She was part of the core team that sold IT Nation to UTV.
She moved on to work with UTV as head of the online division - the entertainment (firstname.lastname@example.org), business (utvi.com) and technology (techtree.com, cxotoday.com and channeltimes.com) websites. After spending about a year and a half there, she moved to Hungama Digital. She spent about nine months there, heading sales nationally for all its websites.
"It's a great opportunity for me to be working with MEC, which has an impressive clientele. I'm looking forward to using my digital experience to contribute to growing MEC's digital offering," says Pochkhanawala.
