Dhanraj Group, a 28-year-old Gujarat-based organisation present in real estate and print media, has forayed into outdoor. For this, it has started a company christened Rajni Marketing.
For starters, with an investment of Rs 30 lakh, the company plans to come up with 100 lit hoardings of 20ft x 10ft across the municipality, as most of the existing hoardings do not have proper illumination. Subsequently, with the approval of the authorities, Rajni Marketing will look into opportunities for beautification of the area, including exploring street furniture projects.
Discussing the importance of Kutch as a strategic location for brand exposure, Chandresh Jethani, managing director, Dhanraj Group tells afaqs!, "The district has huge potential, as many corporates are entering here. In the days to come, an investment of Rs 50,000 crore will be made in various industries by the State Government. After exploring opportunities in Bhuj, we will expand to the rest of Kutch, followed by our expansion to the rest of Gujarat."
The group already has a strong presence in Gujarat with Aajkaal, a daily with editions in Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Porbandar and Kutch Bhuj. One of these is a morning daily, while the rest are afternoon dailies. The daily has a circulation of more than 2 lakh copies. There are plans to launch more editions in Surat, Gandhinagar and Baroda.
According to Jethani, the group's foray into outdoor will contribute towards creating well packaged deals for clients.First Published : April 07, 2010
