Grey India appoints Divyapratap Mehta as senior planning director

Mehta will be based in Delhi; earlier, he has worked with agencies such as Lowe Lintas, TBWA, Leo Burnett and McCann Erickson

Grey India has appointed Divyapratap Mehta as senior planning director. Mehta will join the agency at its Delhi branch.

Mehta joins Grey after a five year stint at Lowe Lintas, where he worked as regional planning director, Southeast Asia, Lowe Bangkok and associate vice-president, planning, Lowe India.

Bindu Sethi, senior vice-president and national head, planning, Grey India, says, "In our effort to enhance the quality of our work and the offering to clients, we are strengthening our planning talent and resource pool. We welcome Divyapratap Mehta to Grey and the planning team."

In his 14 year career, Mehta has had extensive experience on consumer habits of women and youth across various geographic markets. The various brands he has worked on include Reckitt Benckiser, Unilever, Panasonic, LG, Nestle and Maruti.

His work on the 'Challenges Global Brands Face in Asia', presented by Unilever Asia, received recognition in the Asia Marketing Forum 2009.

In an official statement, Mehta says, "Grey offers a great combination of the right people with the right thinking. Along with the team, I look forward to facing the challenges that will come my way as I take on this new role."

Besides Lowe, he has also worked with agencies such as TBWA, Leo Burnett and McCann Erickson.
