Soi to handle on ground activities for Uninor's Gujarat launch

Ahmedabad based Soi Live Marketing & Events will handle the on ground activities for Uninor's launch in Gujarat's 12 cities. The telecom service provider plans to spend a crore rupees on the launch activity.

The activities will target retailers and youth who comprise the TG (target group) of the brand. When contacted, the spokesperson at Uninor refused to reveal the date of launch but according to industry insiders, the services in Gujarat are expected to roll out in the first week of June.

Confirming the development to afaqs!, Heena Mistry, director, Soi Live Marketing & Events, says, "Telecom works on regional budget and objectives to be achieved for each market vary. We plan to conduct all the activities within 15 days of the launch."

Currently, Uninor's services are available in eight circles - UP (West), UP (East), Bihar, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

A 15-year-old company, Soi Live Marketing & Events has been carrying out activations for brands from across categories including brands such as Airtel, Reliance, Tata Teleservices, Kama Sutra, Jaypee Cements, Dabur, Pantaloons, Hyundai, SBI and Whirlpool.

Unitech Wireless holds a pan India UAS license to offer mobile telephony services in each of India's 22 circles.
