JWT Delhi appoints Adrian Miller as chief creative officer

Miller will bring his varied experience to the agency's Delhi office

JWT Delhi has announced the appointment of Adrian Miller as chief creative officer. Earlier, Miller was executive creative director, Saatchi & Saatchi, Malaysia and Singapore. He will be based in JWT Delhi, the agency’s largest operating unit in India.

It is learnt that the designation was created specifically for Miller. He will work closely with Rohit Ohri, senior vice-president and managing partner; and Colvyn Harris, chief executive officer, JWT.

Over the last five years, Miller has, with his creative prowess, contributed greatly to the growth of two creative agencies. First, it was Lowe Malaysia, which, after a year with him at the creative helm, was recognised as one of the top performing creative agencies of the Lowe network. Subsequently, he went on to lend his skills to Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia, where Miller built the agency into one of the top creative agencies in the region.

At JWT Delhi, Miller’s main focus will be to lead clients into an idea driven space that is media neutral.

Commenting on the development, Harris says, “Miller has built some of Asia's finest brands and understands that strong brands spell business as well as increased market share for clients. His diverse experience will bring in new sensibilities to our creative work.”

This is a significant step for JWT– the Delhi office of which has a roster of India's blue chip clients – towards meeting its clients' growing aspirations of continued market leadership. The appointment is expected to strengthen the office and will consequently ensure future leadership in the market.

Sharing his views on the appointment, Michael Maedel, president, JWT Asia Pacific, says, “India is an important market for global clients and Miller’s appointment will further enhance the value we bring to bear on the brands we handle.”

Miller’s accolades include a ranking as one of the top five executive creative directors in the Asia Pacific by Media Magazine; and a ranking as one of the top two creative directors in Asia by Campaign Brief. His work has also been ranked (twice over) amongst the top ten of the Gunn Report.

Campaigns he has led have won numerous awards, including gold, silver and bronze Lions. His work has also won recognitions at international award shows such as The One Show, Clio Awards, AdFest, Spikes Asia and London International Awards.

He has also judged at D&AD, Clio, Cannes, Spikes and AdFest.
