LG Ad, the agency launched early this year to explore advertising opportunities for LG products through outdoor, below-the-line initiatives, in-shop branding, events and exhibitions, recently made its foray into ATL (above the line) with LG ACs (residential and commercial) as its first account. Prior to this development, the account was handled by the brand's global agency, Rediffusion Y&R.

In this new role, Sinha will be responsible for planning the way ahead for the agency and overseeing all the accounts.

Discussing the reasons behind his movement, he says, "LG is one of the leading brands of the country in terms of advertising spends and brand recall. LG Ad will provide the right atmosphere for me to thrive as an advertising professional."

Sinha is a science graduate and has an experience of 13 years in software and advertising. His first stint in advertising was with the Inter Publicity in 2005. Next, he moved to Euro RSCG as account manager, followed by a stint with McCann as account director. After this, he joined Lowe in 2007 as account director before moving to Publicis as client services director. He joined Dentsu Communications in 2009.

Over the years, he has worked on brands such as Nestle, Aircel, Panasonic, Reckitt Benckiser, Woodland and LG.

This is the second big movement from Dentsu to LG Ad within a month. Recently, Dipansu Saha, ex-creative director, Dentsu Communications also moved to the agency as creative head.

For the record, LG Ad, a part of GIIR Advertising Media Communications, was established in 1964 as an in-house advertising agency for the LG Group of Korea. The agency has operations in New York, Beijing and Tokyo. While LG Corporation holds 35 per cent share in GIIR, WPP's stake in the group stands at 20 per cent.
