RAM Week 39: Red FM and Radio City fight for second spot in Mumbai

In Bengaluru, Radio One moves up a spot to occupy sixth position

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 39 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 17.7 per cent, gaining 0.3 percentage point in comparison to Week 38. The channel's average market share for the last four weeks is 17.4 per cent.

This week, both Red FM and Radio City have registered an identical market share of 13.3 per cent. The last four weeks' average market share for Red FM is 13.7 per cent; while for Radio City, it is 13.4 per cent.

Big FM is at No. 4, with a market share of 11.8 per cent, the same as last week. Its last four weeks' average market share is 11.7 per cent.

AIR FM Gold is at No. 5 with a market share of 11.5 per cent. It is followed by Fever FM, with a market share of 11.2 per cent and a loss of 0.3 percentage point vis-à-vis Week 38.

Radio One is at No. 7, with a market share of 6.3 per cent. It is followed by AIR FM Rainbow, which has a market share of 5.5 per cent.

Among the other stations in Mumbai in Week 39 is Vividh Bharati, which has a market share of 4.5 per cent. It is followed by Oye! FM (2.5 per cent) and Akashvani Mumbai (2.4 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 24.5 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 24.6 per cent.

At No. 2, Fever FM has a market share of 18.2 per cent, losing 0.5 percentage point vis-à-vis Week 38. It is followed by AIR FM Gold, which has a market share of 17.2 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 9.4 per cent; while Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.9 per cent. Radio City has gained 0.2 percentage point over the previous week.

Big FM is at No. 6 with a market share of 7.5 per cent. It is followed by Radio One with a market share of 5.6 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage point in comparison to Week 38.

Among the other stations in Delhi in Week 39 is Oye! FM, which has a market share of 2.9 per cent. It is followed by Hit FM (1.8 per cent), AIR FM Rainbow (1.7 per cent), Vividh Bharati (1.5 per cent) and AIR Akashvani (0.5 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM leads in the city with a market share of 19.6 per cent; while its last four weeks' average market share is 19.4 per cent.

At No. 2, Radio Mirchi has a market share of 18 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share is 17.7 per cent.

Fever FM is at No. 3, with a market share of 15.5 per cent, registering a gain of 0.3 percentage point over the previous week. Its last four weeks' average market share is 15.4 per cent.

Radio City is next, with a market share of 12.8 per cent, the same as last week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 12.7 per cent.

AIR FM Rainbow is at No. 5 with a market share of 9.5 per cent, which is the same as its last four weeks' average market share.

Radio One has moved up a spot to No. 6. It has a market share of 8.7 per cent, with a gain of 0.1 percentage point. Red FM is next, with a market share of 8.1 per cent and a loss of 0.5 percentage point vis-a-vis Week 38.

Among others in Bengaluru in Week 39 is Vividh Bharati, with a market share of 4.1 per cent, followed by Radio Indigo (2.7 per cent), Gyan Vani (0.9 per cent) and Akashvani (0.1 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 20.5 per cent, with a gain of 0.2 percentage point over the previous week.

Big FM and Friends FM are placed No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Big FM has a market share of 17.9 per cent, with a gain of 0.5 percentage point. Friends FM has a market share of 11 per cent, with a loss of 0.7 percentage point over Week 38. Its last four weeks' average market share is 11.6 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 10.9 per cent; while its last four weeks' average market share is 10.8 per cent.

Fever FM has moved up a spot this week to No. 5, with a market share of 8.8 per cent. Red FM is at No. 6 with a market share of 8.5 per cent, losing 0.2 percentage point vis-à-vis Week 38.

Radio One is at No. 7 with a market share of 6.3 per cent, with a gain of 0.2 percentage point. It is followed by Oye! FM, which has registered a market share of 4.6 per cent.

This week, among other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 3.9 per cent; followed by AIR FM Gold (3.1 per cent), Akashvani (2.5 per cent), Power FM (1.5 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.6 per cent).
