GEC Watch: STAR Plus adds 25 GRPs to its grade

Pratigya on STAR Plus is the most watched programme in the Top 10 list, with a TVR of 6.41.

Continuing to lead the GEC flock for the week ended 27 November, STAR Plus, the flagship Hindi GEC from the STAR stable, has added 25 points to its GRP grade to stand at 379 GRPs during the week. The channel also witnessed a jump in its relative channel share from 25.7 per cent in Week 47 to 26.8 per cent in Week 48.

Viacom18's channel, Colors, on the other hand, has lost 27 GRPs during the week, pocketing 264 GRPs during the same period. Its relative share has also fallen to 18.7 per cent during the week, from the 21.1 per cent that it had registered in the previous week.

Occupying the third spot, Zee TV, however, has witnessed a very marginal drop in its GRPs and relative share. While the channel has lost merely two points over the previous week to grab 206 GRPs for the week, its relative share is at 14.6 per cent, down from the 15.1 per cent that it had captured in the previous week.

Meanwhile, Sony has added 32 GRPs to end the week with 201 points. Its channel share is 14.2 per cent, up from the 12.3 per cent that it had grabbed in the previous week. Sibling channel SAB, on the other hand, has lost 10 GRPs, bagging 135 GRPs. Its relative share has also dropped to 9.6 per cent.

SAB is followed by Imagine TV, which has added both in GRPs as well as channel share. It has added 7 GRPs during the week, garnering a score of 108 GRPs, while recording a relative share of 7.6 per cent, up from the 7.3 per cent registered in Week 47.

STAR One is at No. 7; the channel's relative share is 2.9 per cent for the week, while its GRPs have moved up from 41 GRPs to 42 GRPs.

DD1 and STAR Utsav have garnered relative shares of 1.3 per cent and 1.8 per cent respectively, while Sahara One has garnered a relative share of 2 per cent.

Pratigya on STAR Plus is the most watched programme in the Top 10 list with a TVR of 6.41. The other shows that have made it to the Top 10 list are Pavitra Rishta (with 5.92 TVR), Saathiya (with 5.82 TVR), Sasural Genda Phool (with 5.26 TVR), Kaun Banega Crorepati (with 4.65 TVR), Balika Vadhu (with 4.41 TVR), Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (with 4.16 TVR) and Uttaran (with 4.12 TVR).
