Mediacom has appointed Debraj Tripathy as chief operating officer. Earlier, he was head, mobile marketing, OnMobile Global.
Tripathy will be based in New Delhi and will be responsible for heading development across Mediacom's offices in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai.
In line with Mediacom's global growth strategy, Tripathy will work with the network to ensure that clients in India benefit from gold standard products, tools and services, using best practices from other markets to further strengthen the agency's performance.
As part of Mediacom's People First programme, he will also be responsible for growing the company's talent pool.

An electronics engineer and an alumnus of IIM Calcutta, Tripathy has an extensive media experience, having worked with Ogilvy, MindShare Fulcrum and as general manager of Maxus Delhi. At Maxus, he has managed brands such as Unilever, IBM, Nokia, Perfetti, Hero Honda, Dabur, Seagram and Asian Paints.
