RAM Week 1: Radio Mirchi and Big FM continue to lead

While Big FM leads in Bengaluru, Radio Mirchi is the leader in the other three RAM markets.

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 1 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi is numero uno in the city, with a market share of 16.2 per cent, a loss of 0.6 percentage point compared to the previous week.

RAM Week 1: Radio Mirchi and Big FM continue to lead
The second and third spots are occupied by Radio City and Red FM, respectively. Radio City has a market share of 13.7 percent, with a loss of 0.5 percentage point; while Red FM has 12.8 per cent, with a loss of 0.4 percentage point.

Big FM is at No. 4 this week, with a market share of 12.3 per cent. It is followed by AIR Gold, which has a market share of 11.3 per cent, unchanged from the previous week. Fever FM is at No. 6 with a market share of 10.9 per cent.

Radio One and Vividh Bharati are at No. 7 and No. 8, with market shares of 6.6 per cent and 5 per cent, respectively.

This week, among the other stations in Mumbai, Oye! FM has a market share of 4.8 per cent, followed by AIR FM1 Rainbow (3.8 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 23.7 per cent, registering a loss of 1.1 percentage point compared to the previous week. Its last four weeks' average market share is 24.3 per cent.

The next two spots are occupied by Fever FM and AIR FM Gold, with market shares of 18.8 per cent and 17.1 per cent, respectively. While Fever FM registered a gain of 1.1 percentage point, AIR FM Gold gained 1 percentage point in market share. The last four weeks' average market shares of the two stations are 17.8 per cent and 16.4 per cent, respectively.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 10.5 per cent, registering a gain of 0.3 percentage point. It is followed by Radio City, which has an unchanged market share of 8.6 per cent.

At the sixth and seventh positions, Big FM and Radio One have garnered market shares of 7.5 per cent and 5.6 per cent, respectively. The last four weeks' average market share for Big FM is 8.1 per cent, while that of Radio One is 5.5 per cent.

Among the other stations in Delhi are Oye! FM and AIR FM Rainbow, which have market shares of 2.5 per cent and 2.1 per cent, respectively.

Bengaluru

As usual, Big FM leads in Bengaluru with a market share of 19.2 per cent. The station has registered a loss of 1 percentage point compared to the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 20.3 per cent.

Radio Mirchi is at No. 2 with a market share of 17 per cent, while its average market share for the last four weeks is 17.1 per cent. Fever FM is at No. 3 and has a market share of 15.1 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage point. Its average market share for the last four weeks is also 15.1 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 4 with a market share of 13.8 per cent, which is 0.7 percentage point more than its average market share of the past four weeks. It is followed by Red FM with a market share of 10 per cent, registering a gain of 0.9 percentage point in comparison to the previous week.

At No. 6, Radio One has a market share of 7.5 per cent, registering a loss of 0.3 percentage point. AIR FM Rainbow follows with a market share of 7.4 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 percentage point over the previous week. The radio station's average market share for the past four weeks is 7.2 per cent.

Among the other stations in Bengaluru in Week 54 are Vividh Bharati, which has a market share of 6.2 per cent, followed by Radio Indigo (2.5 per cent) and Gyan Vani (0.9 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 19.9 per cent, registering a loss of 0.1 percentage point over the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 20.2 per cent.

Big FM is No. 2 with a market share of 17.7 per cent, registering a loss of 0.7 percentage point. Friends FM and Aamar FM are at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Friends FM registered a market share of 12.1 per cent, while Aamar FM has 11.8 per cent.

Fever FM is placed fifth with a market share of 9.1 per cent, while Red FM is No. 6 with a market share of 8.4 per cent. Radio One is at No. 7 with a market share of 5.4 per cent, registering a loss of 0.7 percentage point over the previous week. Oye! FM follows with a market share of 4.6 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 percentage point.

This week, among other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Gold and Air FM Rainbow have secured market shares of 4 per cent and 2.6 per cent, respectively.
