STAR Jalsha debuts in West Asia

The entertainment channel from the house of STAR is the first Bengali channel to be launched in West Asia on the Pehla platform.

STAR is all set to launch its Bengali entertainment channel, STAR Jalsha, in West Asia with the Arab Digital Distribution (ADD) pay TV platform. The Bengali general entertainment channel (GEC) will be exclusively available on the Pehla bouquet that caters to the expatriate South-Asian population in the region.

The new channel will be available along with other channels from the company, including STAR Plus, STAR One, STAR Gold, STAR News, and Channel [V] India.

Launched in 2008 in India, STAR Jalsha, the Bengali GEC, telecasts an array of shows such as Ghosh & Co, reality format show 'I laugh U', Bou Katha Kou, Maa, Bhalobasa.com, and events such as Telly Shamman, STAR Jalsha awards, Mega Jalsha, and Mon Mane Na concert.
