Cheil Worldwide has roped in Chandrashekhar B Mhaskar as general manager, Interactive Function (digital arm of the agency), Cheil Worldwide SW Asia.
His mandate will primarily involve building the digital arm of the agency and to look after the digital aspects and its related functions. Mhaskar's main focus will be to service Samsung and help it grow digitally. His job will also be to strengthen the digital team within the agency and getting new clients on board.
Talking to afaqs! about his own appointment, Mhaskar says, "After working for OgilvyOne for 10 years, I always wanted to come back to an agency to do servicing, team building, and come out with innovative solutions for clients."
Commenting on Mhaskar's appointment, Alok Agrawal, COO, Cheil Worldwide SW Asia, says, "Interactive Function is a key aspect to Cheil's service offering and growth. Having an experience of more than 16 years, Mhaskar started his career with a company called Pixel Point. After that, he shifted to rediff.com and worked there for four-and-a-half years. He then moved to OgilvyOne as digital head and continued working there for 10 years. He then joined Dun & Bradstreet, before moving to Cheil.
Mhaskar, through his career span, has handled clients like American Express, Nokia, Jet Airways, British Airways, Perfetti Van Melle, Levi's, ICICI Bank, Johnson & Johnson, and Castrol, to mention a few.
