Dell India consolidates its digital media business with MediaCom

The agency will handle media planning and buying for display, search and social media for Dell in India.

Dell India has consolidated its digital media business with MediaCom, the agency which also handles its offline media initiatives. This is part of a global alignment. MediaCom has been handling the Dell India offline media business, out of Bengaluru, for over three years.

Speaking to afaqs!, Debraj Tripathy, chief operating officer, MediaCom India, says, "We handled a part of the digital media business of Dell, earlier. But, from April onwards, we have started managing the complete digital media account of Dell." He declined to reveal which part of digital media MediaCom handled for Dell India. He says, "We will handle media planning and buying for display, search and social media for Dell India."

Commenting on the move Krishnakumar P, executive director, marketing, CSMB, Dell India, says, "MediaCom has been a valuable partner for Dell for the last few years for our offline media needs. It has a dedicated and energetic team that has been a pleasure to work with, and we look forward to its innovation and commitment to further our digital media practices in India."

MediaCom manages digital media (planning and buying) businesses of various advertisers like P&G, Volkswagen and Skoda.
