Rajdeep Bhattacharyya joins Madison as director, digital

Prior to joining Madison, Bhattacharyya was senior account director at Wunderman International, where he was handling the Nokia business. In his new role, he will oversee Madison's digital operations in Delhi for all existing and emerging digital media initiatives including display, video, SEM, mobile, social and emerging media.

Rajdeep Bhattacharyya has joined Madison Media as director, digital. Earlier, Bhattacharyya was senior account director at Wunderman International, where he was handling the Nokia business.

In an official communiqué, Punitha Arumugam, group chief executive officer, Madison Media, says, "I am sure Bhattacharyya will further strengthen our already strong digital team."

In his new role, Bhattacharyya will oversee Madison's digital operations in Delhi for all existing and emerging digital media initiatives including display, video, SEM, mobile, social and emerging media.

Bhattacharyya says, "I am keen to work with and learn from all of Madison Media's digital talent, as we set about growing our digital expertise further. Integrated media approach is at the core of Madison Media's offerings and I look forward to playing a part in continuing to develop a world class media company."

Bhattacharyya, a digital media and marketing professional, graduated in Computer Science from St. Cloud State University based in the US. He started his career in the digital space as marketing manager with W3i, where he worked for three years (2003-06). He then joined Critical Mass as e-marketing manager. After working there for two-and-a-half years, he joined iGlaz as digital marketing consultant. He has extensive experience in digital branding, social media marketing, mobile, ecommerce, and direct marketing on the agency side and has worked on media planning, buying, analytics, web design and content strategy for many clients.

Madison Media claims that its spends in the digital arena account for 10-15 per cent of the total digital spends in the country (as per company release).It handles digital work for brands such as Airtel, Cadbury, ITC, Levi's, Britannia, Godrej, Tata Tea, Bharti AXA, Spice Jet and many more.
