Kinetic, the WPP-owned lifestyle and environments agency, recently announced the roll-out of its airport and in-flight media specialist Aviator, in India.
The strategic business unit is an important addition to the Aviator network, currently in existence across London, Singapore and New York, and brings the total number of multilingual media experts at Aviator to 48.
Aviator India will be headed by Anu Gera, business director at Kinetic India, and the agency's team will be based in Mumbai; it will also have members in Bengaluru and Delhi.
Gera says, "With seat capacity in Asia-Pacific hitting close to 100 million in July, and the Delhi International Airport being the fastest growing hub in the region, the opening of Aviator India addresses the requirement for an aviation media specialist to deliver relevant audiences."
Rajul Kulshreshtha, managing director, Kinetic India, adds, "With air traffic touching almost 14.22 million passengers, we feel that this is just the right time to launch Aviator in India. In Aviator, we have a product that will enable us to offer more value to our clients."
Aviator's in-house planning division uses a combination of individual airport, industry data and proprietary Kinetic planning tools to provide insights into the target audience and markets.
Irene Revilla, managing director, Kinetic Singapore and International, says, "We are very excited to roll out the Aviator proposition in India. The growth the aviation market is experiencing, together with the development of media opportunities in the airport environment, makes India the ideal candidate for a local Aviator resource."
Internationally, Aviator has worked with brands such as ABB, SAP, Accenture, CHANEL and Lenovo, to name a few.
Kinetic is traditionally an out of home media agency and in addition, today delivers expertise through its divisions including Joule, Aviator, Target Health, Destination Media Group, Kinetic People, Meta, ALCANCE, Zone Outdoor and Hi Rezz. It employs more than 800 professionals across 38 offices.
