Top GECs show downfall in GRPs; Colors holds strong

On the back of the latest real life case of Baby Falak, Crime Patrol topped the Top 10 list for the week with a TVR of 6.78 (TAM, C&S 4+, HSM).

Despite a decrease in its GRPs, Star Plus is still leading the flock with 259 GRPs. The channel fell from 279 GRPs registered in the previous week (Week 8). Its relative share also dropped from 20.7 per cent to 19.9 per cent in the current week (Week 9).

Sony, meanwhile, has maintained its hold on the No. 2 spot even with a decrease of 15 GRPs (227 GRPs in the previous week), clocking 212 GRPs for the week ended March 3. The relative share of the channel has fallen from 16.8 per cent to 16.2 per cent.

Back at No. 3 after a week's gap, Colors has increased its GRPs by 11 points to stand at 211 GRPs. The channel's relative share has also moved up from 14.9 per cent to 16.2 per cent. The channel was down at No. 4 during the previous week, when Zee TV moved up the ladder riding on the back of its one-hour long special episodes.

Zee, at No. 4, recorded 206 GRPs (down from 222 GRPs in Week 8) and its relative share is 15.8 per cent (16.5 per cent in the previous week).

Sony Entertainment's sibling channel, SAB TV, is at No. 5 with 131 GRPs (down from 134 GRPs in Week 8), while its relative share has moved up marginally to 10.1 per cent from 9.9 per cent in the previous week.

At No. 6, Life OK is at 87 GRPs, up from 81 GRPs. Its relative share is also up from 6 per cent to 6.6 per cent in the current week.

Imagine TV, with 65 GRPs and a channel share of 5 per cent, follows it. In the previous week, the channel clocked 63 GRPs with 4.7 per cent relative share.

Sahara One is at No. 8. The channel's relative share and GRPs have moved down to 3.5 per cent (3.9 per cent in the previous week) and 45 GRPs (53 GRPs in the previous week), respectively.

At No. 9, STAR Utsav's relative share is stable at 3.1 per cent. Its points stand at 40 GRPs.

At No. 10, DD1 has maintained its ratings at 39 GRPs, while it has increased its relative share by one percentage point to 3 per cent.

Zee Smile stood at No. 11 with 8 GRPs and 0.6 per cent relative share.

On the back of the latest real life case of Baby Falak from the Capital, Crime Patrol topped the Top 10 list of programmes for the week with a TVR of 6.78. Next in line, Diya Aur Baati Hum from the Star Plus stable, earned 5.99 TVRs. Sony Entertainment's thriller show CID stood at No. 3 with 5.42 TVRs.

Slipping down from No. 2 position, Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai clocked a TVR of 4.40 at the fourth position.

Balika Vadhu from Colors was the fifth most popular programme with a TVR of 4.31; while Star Plus' Saathiya Saath Nibhana came sixth with 4.14 TVR.

Uttaran stood next with 4.1 TVRs. The two important shows of Star Plus - Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (4.03 TVR) and Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (3.76 TVRs), have slipped to the bottom three in the Top 10 list. Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli stood last in the list with 3.6 TVRs.
