The agency's Mumbai office will handle the account.
BBDO India has won the creative mandate for Racold, the flagship brand of Racold Thermo, manufacturer and exporter of water heaters.
The agency will be responsible for both, the ATL (above the line) as well as BTL (below the line) duties for the account.
The development is the result of a multi-agency pitch process that was carried out over the past few months.
Commenting on the win, Ajai Jhala, chief execuiive officer, BBDO India said, "Racold has been an integral part of more Indian bathrooms than any other brand and now wants to play a more active role in people’s lives. We, at BBDO, are very excited that we have been chosen to take Racold the next horizon."
The company's product portfolio includes electric storage/electric instant products, gas water heaters and solar products (for domestic and commercial use), amongst others.
It may be noted that last year, the company received the National Energy Conservation Award in the electrical storage water heater category. It had received this award in 2010 as well.
It may be recalled that a few months ago, afaqs! had reported that Proximity, the CRM (customer relationship management), digital and data arm of BBDO, had won the digital mandate for Visa.
