The India Today Group has joined hands with Discovery Networks Asia Pacific to launch the Discovery Channel Magazine in India.
Rahul Johri, senior vice-president and general manager, South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific, says, "Discovery Channel magazine will provide additional touch points for our viewers and will serve as an extension of Discovery Channel."
The monthly magazine will be similar to the existing South Asian version. While it is not yet known who among the two partners (India Today Group and Discovery) will handle the editorial, the distribution will be handled by the India Today Group, reveal sources.

Discovery Channel will fill the void in this space in the Indian market. Currently, Discovery Channel Magazine is present in Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
