In 2009, afaqs! had reported about Pizza Hut's decision to continue its association with JWT on creative duties.

Pizza Hut currently has 180 casual dining restaurants spread across the country and close to 130 home service units. The other players in the category are Domino's (the brand's biggest competitor), Smokin' Joe's and US Pizza.

Brand Pizza Hut is 50 years old but made its presence in India in 1997. On completion of 15 years in the country, it announced the introduction of a range of 15 Indian pizzas inspired by regional cuisines and local flavours, customised to suit the Indian palate.

Of late, the brand's campaigns have also been promoting its innovative variety of pizzas with special focus on increasing its presence in home delivery. One of the recent campaigns by the brand in April promoted its Magic Pizza offering at a cost effective price of Rs 44.
