He will spearhead MRSS India, the Indian arm of Majestic MRSS, a full service, independent market research institute.

Panchal, who was chief mentor of the company, has also taken a significant equity stake in MRSS India.

Before taking up the role at MRSS India, he was managing director, Asia Pacific of the custom research business of The Nielsen Company.

Talking about his new role, Panchal says, "We are working aggressively to make MRSS India into India's premier digital research agency. Besides doing conventional research, we aim to leverage technology to the fullest to help our clients secure the best possible understanding of consumers and markets."

Panchal brings in two decades of experience in market research in companies like P&G, Dun & Bradstreet and Nielsen. The other key positions that he has held are MRSI Managing Committee - Member, FICCI Brand Protection Committee - Member and Marker Research Society, London - Associate Member.

Panchal has worked extensively on new product research, media and advertising research and customer satisfaction/loyalty research. He has been very closely associated with media measurement research currencies in the print and television space. Further, besides teaching in premier educational institutions, he has presented several papers in forums including the MRSI seminars and FICCI/CII conferences.
