Anaiah Films hires director Narayan Shi on an exclusive contract

Shi comes with 15 years of experience in ad film making.

Anaiah Films, a new production company started by advertising and production professionals Salome Joseph and Shiibu Tholat, has hired Narayan Shi as exclusive director. Shi, an NID alumnus, comes with 15 years of experience in the business of ad film making.

In his career span, Shi has directed over 100 TV campaigns ranging over the entire spectrum of advertising, from food to fashion, FMCG and automobile brands. Some of the known brands includes Parle Agro's Frooti, Boost, Horlicks, Nakshatra, Pantene and Hyundai.

He has extensively worked with celebrities from the Indian film industry and sports stars like Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Salome Joseph, executive producer, Anaiah Films started her advertising career with Enterprise Nexus in 1996, where she worked as an agency producer. Later, she moved to Leo Burnett, where she headed the still photography section. Joseph then freelanced as a line producer and started her own production house for still photography. She has worked with top notch advertising photographers such as Suresh Natrajan, Atul Kasbekar, Prasad Naik, Israar Quereshi, Ronny Sequera, Faroukh Chotia and Swapan Parekh. After a successful four-year run, she ventured into film production and has line-produced for directors such as Dibakar Banerjee and Gajraj Rao.

Tholat, executive producer of Anaiah Films, started his advertising career with Anand Kurian in 1997 and moved on to assist Rajkumar Hirani. Subsequently, he joined Leo Burnett as an agency producer. He later produced for director Pradeep Sarkar before moving back to the agency circuit at Rediffusion DY&R. After the agency stint, he independently produced ad films for brands such as Toyota, McDonalds, Nycil, Lifebuoy, Dish TV and Aviva under Robber Crab Creates.
