Jet Airways names Vizeum India its media AoR

The business will be handled out of the agency's Mumbai office.

Jet Airways has awarded its media duties to Dentsu Aegis Media's agency Vizeum, which will handle the international airlines' consumer connect initiatives. The business will be handled under the leadership of Samarjit Rajkumar, senior VP, out of the agency's Mumbai office.

The account was won in a multi-agency pitch that started in Mumbai two months back. The account was earlier being handled by Starcom.

Commenting on the new partnership, Gaurang Shetty, senior vice president - Commercial, Jet Airways says, "We evaluated media agencies on a live brief and Vizeum showed their ability to add value to our media investments and demonstrated tangible benefits in their proposition. Vizeum's solution was backed with data, insights and relevance to the ethos of the brand which gave us all the confidence in their abilities."

Speaking on the win, S Yesudas, managing director, Indian Subcontinent, Vizeum, states, "We are very proud of this association and we are thankful to the Jet Airways management for considering us worthy."

Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 112 aircrafts. Flights to 73 destinations span the length and breadth of India and beyond, including Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Bangkok, Brussels, Colombo, Dammam, Dhaka, Doha among others.
