Shubho Sengupta Quits TBWA India

He had joined the agency two years ago as EVP and head, Delhi. According to sources, he has joined JWT Delhi as executive business director.

After a stint of two years, Shubho Sengupta has quit TBWA India. Sengupta had joined the agency as executive vice president, Delhi. He used to report to Nirmalaya Sen, president, TBWA India.

According to sources in the industry, Sengupta has joined JWT Delhi as executive business director. If so, this will be Sengupta's third stint with JWT India - he worked with the agency from August 2007 to January 2009 as associate vice-president and from August 2010 to September 2012 as vice president and client services director.

At JWT, he was heading the business on GSK. Besides, he worked on brands like Horlicks (all variants - Foodles, Nutribar, Biscuits) and SBI Cards. He was also an integral part of the group's design unit, Honk. He nurtured the unit that specialised in retail solutions, packaging and corporate identity.

Sengupta brings with him over 18 years of experience in the advertising industry. In past, he has also worked with Saatchi & Saatchi and Bates, and with brands such as Fair & Lovely, Airtel, Tata Steel, Close Up, Vivel, Gold Flake, Carlsberg, Lafarge and Anandabazar Patrika. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. Xavier's College, Calcutta.
