Snapdeal appoints P&G's Amit Choudhary as SVP, corporate finance

In this role, Choudhary will be responsible for driving overall controllership in finance, FP&A and taxation at the group level.

Snapdeal has appointed Amit Choudhary as senior vice president - corporate finance. Prior to joining Snapdeal, he served as regional finance head for the Asia Pet Care business at Procter & Gamble (P&G) in 14 countries, including Japan, Greater China and Australia.

Before his tenure at P&G, he has worked with JPMorgan Chase Investment Bank and Arthur Andersen.

In his new role, Choudhary will be responsible for driving overall controllership in finance, FP&A and taxation at the group level to ensure seamless implementation and integration of financial controls and policies.

He brings over 15 years of rich experience across corporate and entrepreneurial domains. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from St. Xavier's' College, Kolkata, and is a Chartered Accountant. Choudhary has also been honoured with many prestigious awards including President's Gold Medal for securing 1st rank in C.A Exams, Asia F&A Award for Excellence in Business Acceleration for leading India F&A Team, Global F&A Power of You Award and India CFO award for the Best Finance Manager. He has also invested in startups in India.
