Gaurav Pandey joins Havas Media as group director, technology
He will be responsible for the company's technology direction with focus on quality and efficiency across mobile, web and social media applications.
Havas Media India has roped in Gaurav Pandey as group director, technology. In this role, Pandey will be responsible for the company's technology direction with focus on quality and efficiency across mobile, web and social media applications. He will be working closely with Soumitro Ganguly, senior manager, Mobext, India, which is the mobile marketing arm of Havas Media Group.
Ranjoy Dey, head of digital, Havas Media India, who Pandey will report to, adds, "At Havas Media, we consistently strive to execute digital media the way the consumer sees it to deliver the most memorable experience. Gaurav has the knack of mentally approaching solutions from a brand perspective to connect with the consumer, where media and technology are an integral part of each other. His deep knowledge of both will go a long way in an environment where businesses are becoming either mobile-only, mobile-first, or have to be on mobile."
Before joining Havas Media, Pandey served as associate vice president, marketing technology, at Ignitee Digital, prior to which he was with Digitas India for a long time, providing innovative and effective tech solutions across mobile and web. He has worked on brands such as Pepsi, HP, Intel, Microsoft, Samsung, ITC, Volkswagen, Viacom18, Castrol, Pizza Hut, Axis Bank and Airtel.
With a Masters degree in Computer Applications and Bachelors in Information Technology, Pandey is a Dotnet/SQL Server Architect having over 12 years of experience in mobile and web applications development, as well as extensive experience in delivering high-quality software.
