nexGTv ropes in Dushyant Kohli as head, growth

The subscription-based video entertainment app, nexGTv, has appointed Dushyant Kohli as head-growth. Kohli joins the organisation with over 13 years of experience in digital marketing across multiple businesses including the social discovery network His prior stints include associations with companies such as HT Mobile Solutions (a joint venture of Velti plc & HT Media), Zapak Digital Entertainment, and BCCL (Bennett, Coleman & Co).

Kohli, who looks forward to his new role, says, "Since I had good experience in the internet and mobile space and in the popular digital engagement fields like gaming and social discovery, I always wanted to enter the digital entertainment domain. Kohli started his career with The Indian Express Group, which was followed by his stint with The Times Group. His educational qualification includes an MBA in Marketing, along with an IT degree from école des Ponts Business School, France. Kohli spearheaded the launch of in India, defining product development plans and marketing strategies.

During his tenure at HT Mobile Solutions, Kohli helped it become a strong brand in mobile marketing/advertising/enterprise solutions and social media marketing area, with its revenue growing over 12 times within three years.

NexGTv is Digivive's flagship application, which offers consumers entertainment across multiple devices (mobile, tablets or laptop/PCs), with more than 150 live TV channels besides a content library comprising of more than 1,000 movies, and hundreds of TV shows and videos. It runs across 2G/EDGE/3G/4G and Wi-Fi networks, and across platforms such as Android, iOS, BlackBerry and Tizen. nexGTv, along with film director Imtiaz Ali, recently launched India's first mobile talent discovery platform 'SPOTLight'.
