"Hello, there. Cut me out and keep me in your bathroom for a day."

That's what Godrej aer pocket said in a print ad. Bathroom freshener samples were distributed in 27,50,000 copies of Bombay Times, Delhi Times, Kolkata Times, and Bangalore Times on April 27.

On April 27, The Times of India (TOI) readers in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi and Bengaluru, while sipping their morning cups of tea/coffee, would have come across the jacket flap print ad by Godrej aer pocket in the supplement paper of the English daily. The ad had a sample of the product with fragrance in it so that people could wake up and actually smell the newspaper. The fragrance was infused in the paper itself; no packet was distributed.

"Hello, there. Cut me out and keep me in your bathroom for a day," the ad says, adding, "If you like the way I smell, I'll be happy to keep your bathroom fragrant for up to 30 days. Find me at a store near you!"

As mentioned in the copy of the ad, the bathroom freshener is available in three different flavours -- bright.tangy.delight, violet.valley.bloom, and morning.misty.meadows.

The ad stretches to the front page of the newspaper and the copy ends with, "Hello, bathrooms. We're here to keep you fragrant for up to 30 days. Happy Bathrooms!"
