Sony Pictures Networks announces re-alignment of key management portfolios

Rohit Gupta becomes president, network sales and international business; Rajesh Kaul's role expands to that of president, distribution and sports.

Media conglomerate Sony Pictures Networks (SPN) has expanded the portfolios of two of its senior officials. Rohit Gupta, who was earlier president, network sales, SPN, and who has been with SPN for 14 years, now gets the additional portfolio of international business, and is now president, network sales and international business. In the re-aligned organisational structure, SPN's international business gets consolidated within the networks' sales and syndication business.

SPN's sports business gets more closely aligned to the distribution business. Rajesh Kaul who is the president of SPN's distribution business, will now also head the sports cluster. He will now be president, distribution and sports, SPN. Kaul has spent eight years at SPN.

According to the re-alignment, Neeraj Arora, business head for SPN's international business will now report to (Rohit) Gupta while Prasana Krishnan, business head for SPN sports business, will now report to (Rajesh) Kaul.

Commenting on the re-alignment, N P Singh, CEO, SPN, says, "The re-alignment is configured to further our global business ambitions. It allows us to maximise complimentary synergies existing within the network and augment SPN's consideration as a partner-of-choice by brands and businesses alike."
