The Lodha Group, a real-estate company, recently announced the appointment of Viral Oza as its chief marketing officer.
Oza has joined the Lodha Group from Bennett Coleman & Company (The Times of India Group) where he was director, marketing. Prior to this, he was with Nokia (now Microsoft) since 2008, where he served as marketing director and member of the India leadership team. At the start of his career, Oza spent 17 years with Unilever in India, Philippines, and the UAE.
Commenting on his new role, Oza says in a press release, "As a brand and as an organisation, the Lodha Group has always challenged the status quo to offer consumers the best in the category. I look forward to play a part in the journey towards making Lodha one of India's leading brands."
Shaleen Madan, HR head, Lodha Group, says in a press release, "We are pleased to have (Viral) Oza join us as a senior member of our leadership team. Over the last few years, Lodha has excelled at attracting and growing world-class talent from across industries and Oza will further strengthen our management as we seek to build upon our position as India's largest real-estate developer."
He adds, "Oza's role will cover a wide array of customer interface activities including marketing, customer care and hospitality, and facility management, in order to provide an integrated brand platform to consumers. He will guide and develop the current leadership team in our journey to make Lodha a much-loved consumer brand."
