JWT, Bangalore, has received a Finalist nomination at The New York Festivals Advertising Marketing Effectiveness (AME) Awards for the Lipton Ice Tea launch campaign. The Lipton campaign has won recognition at other platforms as well. It has been featured in the Showcase of Indian Advertising that was released at the prestigious AdAsia 2003 at Jaipur.
In its tenth year, the AME Awards competition is the only international competition recognising both the effectiveness and creativity of advertising/marketing campaigns. As a Finalist, the entry is eligible to compete for a Gold, Silver or Bronze World Medal in its category - Bevarages: Non-Alcoholic. "This category would be the most competitive of all categories consisting of all soft drinks and health beverages including fruit juices," says Dhunji S Wadia, senior vice-president and general manager, JWT, Bangalore. The highest scoring Gold winners then go on to compete for the Grand Award Best of Show bowl. "While being a Finalist itself is a recognition among the thousands of entries from across the world, we're hoping for an even better result," he adds.
On January 29, 2004, the Grand AME committee will announce the winners in the plush surroundings of the Hudson Theatre in New York. "We are happy to get recognition for work that has worked in the market place, seen the sales graph go up for the brand and received accolades from our peers both nationally and internationally," says an excited Wadia. "We're keeping our fingers crossed. Wish us well." © 2004 agencyfaqs!First Published : January 24, 2004
