Ogilvy Brazil's new print campaign for Forbes tackles gender wage differentials with humour

If Mark, Bill and Carlos were Marcia Zuckerberg, Billie Gates and Carla Slim they would earn much less than their illustrious names suggest. These ads highlight the gender pay gap in Brazil.

Forbes Brazil addresses the issue of gender pay gap in the list of 'The World's Richest Women' by drawing inspiration from three prominent business barons - Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, and Carlos Slim.

The print ads were designed by Ogilvy Brazil and published in the recent edition of Forbes Brazil. The campaign shows the female versions of the big three billionaires' female versions - 'Marcia Zuckerberg', 'Billie Gates', and 'Carla Slim'.

The campaign compares the positions of these tycoons - who belong to Forbes' list of 'The World's Billionaires 2017' - with their respective female avatars. The ads go on to say that the women would probably receive about 20 percent less in wages, simply for because they are women. Billie Gates, for instance, would be 4th on the list while Marcia Zuckerberg would be 11th on it.
