NewsX emerges as number one at BARC

NewsX has once again emerged as the leader amongst the competition. According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) data, the channel has surged ahead in the English News genre in Week 22’15 (30th May – 5th June) in 6 Megacities i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.

According to the BARC data released yesterday, the channel is number one in 6 Megacities, with 33.5% relative share, while India Today Television garnered 32.9%, Times Now: 22.8%, NDTV24x7: 6.3% and CNN-IBN gets 4.6%. TAM:

Even TAM Media research data confirms that NewsX leads the English News category in the 6 Metros, with a relative share of 25.2%, while Times Now garnered 24.6%, India Today Television: 22.2%, CNN-IBN: 17% and NDTV 24x7 got 10.9%. TAM ratings also reiterate that NewsX has consistently been number one in the English News category for more than a year.
