This World Environment Day, Tropicana is reaffirming its commitment to the environment by helping consumers plant trees through the ‘Tropicana Gift A Tree’ initiative. For every purchase of Tropicana 100% or Tropicana Essentials on e-commerce site Grofers, Tropicana will plant a tree Madhya Pradesh. Tropicana will plant at least 1,500 trees, aimed at benefiting farmers in the Harda district of Madhya Pradesh.
Speaking about the initiative, Vineet Sharma, Brand Director– Tropicana, says, “Tropicana is closely linked to nature as all our products are made from the fruit of nature and our ‘Tropicana Gift A Tree’ initiative is a small step towards giving back to the environment. There’s no better way to thank nature for its fruits than to gift trees back to nature. We are delighted to join hands with Grofers and Grow-trees for this initiative, which will also give consumers a chance to join this special cause.”
Tropicana Gift A Tree was initiated in 2017 with the objective of raising awareness and action for environmental protection. Over 25000 trees were planted last year in partnership with grow-trees.com. This year, the company commits to planting an additional 1500 trees towards farmers in Harda district, Madhya Pradesh for every transaction of Tropicana 100% and/ or Tropicana Essentials on Grofers between 28th May 2018 to 5th June 2018 i.e. World Environment Day. With this effort, Tropicana undertakes to give back to nature and contribute towards a greener India.
Speaking about the initiative, Prashant Verma, Vice President- Marketing, Grofers, says “We are delighted to partner with Tropicana on this great cause of celebrating World Earth Day. We must appreciate its importance and take forward the call to protect the Earth that we all share. The association with Tropicana has helped us cherish this vital relationship we share with the environment around us.”
Speaking on the initiative, popular actor, Kartik Aaryan said, “Being a part of conserving nature is something that comes naturally in me. It is something we all have done in school, heard about it, learnt about it. I just feel if everyone does their bit, we are in a safe zone! Tropicana Gift a Tree is an excellent initiative by Tropicana to gift trees back to nature. Tropicana juices are made from fruits, and ‘Gift a Tree’ is a good way to do something for nature where the fruits come from. I share the brand’s vision of giving back to nature. Coming from a middle-class family, I was always taught to value what we have and to be environmentally responsible at a personal level. I am excited to do my small bit with Tropicana to raise awareness for the need for planting more trees for the environment. I feel especially warmed to think that as part of this initiative, Tropicana will be planting over 1,500 trees to help farmers in Madhya Pradesh”.
