Law & Kenneth spruces up creative team; more appointments on the anvil

Rajesh Chauhan joins as associate creative director in art and Ankur Baruah joins as his partner in copy

Law & Kenneth’s recently opened Delhi office is looking at expanding its team. Two new members who have come on board are Rajesh Chauhan and Ankur Baruah. Both have moved from Dentsu Marcom.

While Chauhan joins as associate creative director in art, Baruah will be his partner in copy.

Charu Bakshi, branch head, Law & Kenneth, Delhi, says, “We realise that we need to raise our creative standards to keep our pace of growth. This is why we have been very cautious and evaluated various factors before deciding on a new member for the creative team.”

Bakshi also says, “Especially in a start-up organisation like ours, we need people with entrepreneurial instincts who are willing to contribute to building the agency. These are the qualities we found in Rajesh (Chauhan) and Ankur (Baruah).”

“While Chauhan brings his experience in the industry, Baruah complements it with his youth and budding creative writing skills,” she explains.

Chauhan worked with Lowe for more than two years before he moved to Equus Red Cell, where he teamed up with Baruah. Later, they both moved to Dentsu Marcom.

Together, the duo has worked on brands such as Maruti, Max NewYork Life, ITC, Canon and HP.

On his appointment, Chauhan says, “The choice to move to Law & Kenneth was easy as it is a growing company. It is ready to take on challenges and think out of the box.”

For now, the duo will focus more on the new business that the agency will pitch for than the existing businesses.

Bakshi reveals that more people will join on the servicing side in the coming weeks.
