O&M wins most awards at Outdoor Advertising Awards 2007

At the Outdoor Advertising Awards 2007, O&M bagged 26 awards across various categories. Other agencies that won awards were Leo Burnett, JWT, Brand David, TBWA, Saatchi & Saatchi, Grey Worldwide, Rediffusion DY&R, Lowe, Admire Sign and Display, NS Publicity, Ad World and Macromedia Digital.

O&M scored four gold awards, 14 silver and eight merits. It won the golds for Hutch ‘Java City’ in the Telecom category; Biotique ‘Pole Kiosk’ in the FMCG-I category; SPAD ‘AIDS Countdown’ in the Public and Social Services category; and Kathalaya “Festival of Story-telling’ in the Outdoor Media Plan of the Year category. It won the silver and merit awards for Hutch, HT Matrimonials, Asian Paints, Ranipal Starch, Gold’s Gym, By the Book, Jaipur Foot, Kathalaya, Independence Rock, Domex, WorldSpace and Fair & Lovely, among others.

Brand David won seven awards – two golds, three silvers and two merits. It won the gold awards for AIS Strong Glass ‘Train Stopper’ and Reebok India in the Best Use of Ambient Media and Outdoor Media Plan of the Year categories, respectively. It won the silver and merit awards for brands including Reliance General Insurance, Odyssey, AIS Glass and Nitco Wood.

TBWA India and Rediffusion DY&R each won two gold and one silver award. TBWA won both the gold awards for Pril ‘Convex Mirror’ in the Innovation of The Year and Best Use of Ambient Media categories. It won the silver for Michelin Tyres ‘Door Stopper’ in the Auto category.

Rediffusion won its gold awards for Sugarfree ‘Live Ants – Ice Cream’ in the Healthcare category and again for Sugarfree in the Innovation of the Year category. It won the silver awards in the Healthcare category for Sugarfree ‘Live Ants – Muffin’.

Grey Worldwide scored eight awards, including one gold, two silvers and five merits. The gold was won for CPAA ‘Clean Walls’ in the Best Use of Ambient Media category. The silver and merit awards were won for brands including TCI, Mumbai Railway Police and ‘The Times of India’.

NS Publicity won two gold awards in all. It won a gold in the Best Format Innovation for Backlit ‘Street-level Ad Tower’ and another one in the Media Owner of the Year categories.

Macromedia Digital won a single gold in the Printer of the Year category.

Leo Burnett bagged nine awards – six silvers and three merits – for brands including Complan, Prerana, Sony, Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Tide and Maneland Jungle Lodge.

JWT won eight awards – four silvers and four merits – for brands HelpAge India, Indian Railways, Rotract Club, Sanctuary Asia, Saridon, Sykes and Reliance ADAG Life Insurance.

Saatchi & Saatchi scored two merit awards for Nando’s ‘Floor Sticker’ in the Retail category and for Nando’s ‘Ditch’ in the same category.

Lowe won a merit award in the Best Use of Ambient Media for LG Vacuum Cleaner, ‘Auto-Hi Power’.

Admire Sign & Design and Ad World bagged a silver award each in the Best Format Design category. Admire Sign & Design won the award for BEST Bus ‘Grab Handle’ and Ad World won the award for ‘Magic Vehicle’.
