Religare appoints VGC as creative partner; ad spend of Rs 15 crore

The company has planned an ad spend of Rs 15 crore for the fiscal

Religare, a Ranbaxy promoter group company which offers integrated financial services, has signed on Vyas Giannetti Creative (VGC) as its creative agency. Being open to the use and trial of different media by the company, the size of the business is estimated to be Rs 15 crore.

VGC won the business following a multi-agency pitch. Rediff was the incumbent and had been handling the account since early 2006, when Religare initiated its advertising communication.

According to Subhrangshu Neogi, V-P, brand and corporate communications, Religare, “We were looking for a partner who could fuel and co-actively partner with the company’s growth plans.”

The company is looking forward to a 360 degree communication involving, most importantly, television, outdoor, print and even radio. Below-the-line activities are also on the cards.

Talking about a new brand positioning, Neogi adds, “We are fairly open and dynamic to innovations and creative ideas, with the changes in an ever-evolving market. So, we are not ruling out any such plans.”

Anjan Roy, president, VGC, says,” The best part about the company is that it is a great sport in terms of trying different mediums for its communications – viral marketing, mobile marketing, etc. They are open to new ideas, and that makes it easier for us to create the brand well.”

The company is looking at promoting its umbrella brand, as well as its different product lines.
