Euro’s Ashok Karnik sets up creative agency

Ashok Karnik, who, till some time ago, was with Euro RSCG, has started his own creative agency in partnership with Ashutosh Legend Multimedia. The agency is called Bread Communications

Ex-Euro RSCG vice-president and creative head Ashok Karnik is back in India. Karnik has now started his own creative agency in partnership with Ashutosh Legend Multimedia. Bread Communications, as the agency is called, is the creative division of the Mumbai based Ashutosh Legend.

Karnik, who worked with Euro RSCG from 1998 to 2007, put in his papers at the agency to join Lowe Kenya as senior executive director, creative, but unrest in Kenya compelled him to return to India. With 25 years of advertising experience behind him, he explored a few agency offers once he got back home, but decided instead to start his own venture. He now heads Bread Communications as managing director.

Karnik says, “The return trip from Kenya forced me to evaluate my next step in this industry. I could easily have taken up a national role at some agency here. But the drive to start my own work and launch my own brand pushed me to start Bread Communications.”

Karnik has worked for brands such as Sony Entertainment Television, SET Max, SAB TV and HDFC Bank. Besides Euro RSCG, he has worked at Clarion (Bates), Mudra and IB&W.
